Definitions

Vision |
What
YOU SEE as possible for others/the world. This is BIG.
Example:
“My vision is a
world where people are able to spend their lives knowing and using the real
gifts they have been given.” |
| |
|
|
Purpose |
Why you are here; what you are here TO
BE. Who am I to be so that this vision becomes realizable in my lifetime?
Example:
“My purpose is to be a demonstration that
one can re-orient one’s life to share those gifts.” |
| |
|
|
Mission |
What you are here TO DO; your specific
actions, task or goals to realize your vision and purpose. What am I going
to do, specifically, to make this vision a reality?
Example:
“My mission is to help 20,000 people
discover their true gifts, re-orient their lives around them and thank me
for it.” |
Distinctions
Vision
is about what you see as possible.
Purpose
is how you are going to be to further that possibility.
Mission
is what you are going to do to make that vision happen.
This is the next step
in creating the life of your dreams. Let your core values lead you while
creating your vision/purpose/mission. You may even use the exact words. Keep
them simple. One or two lines at the most.
